Requires knowledge of some software language (example: C, C++, Java etc). Need to bring your own laptop to write some code. Offer only for students from Bengaluru.
Erlang is one of those "open secrets" in the software world, coming into the limelight only whenever some famous company reveals that it is powered by Erlang. Fact is that Erlang has been around for 20+ years, originally developed at Ericsson for fault-tolerant telecom switches. Today, Erlang is open-source and widely used to build concurrent, distributed systems requiring high-availability with soft-real-time latencies e.g; messaging, financial trading, and distributed databases.
keyfunda's affordable 1-day Erlang course will introduce you to the basics of the language, and give you an executive summary of its applications. This is a hands-on course, so bring your laptop and come prepared to write some code. Registrants will receive detailed instructions on how to install Erlang.
Q: What do I get in this course that I can't find online?
A: Get key fundas + Get to meet people
That's the short answer, but we've explained the course contents in a detailed blog post which you should read before registering for the course.
[BONUS: Elixir is a new language built to run on the Erlang run-time, attracting growing attention in the web world. In this course we will briefly introduce you to Elixir.]
